What is Mindfulness
Mindfulness is being aware or bringing attention to the present moment without judging the experience. Resting in the present moment is an important piece – it’s first step is bringing your attention to whatever is happening here and now, whether it’s a thought, a difficult emotion, a task at work or the breath.
Mindfulness plays a part in meditation and practiced as far back as two centuries before christ. It was a system used by people throughout history to meditate. By eliminating thoughts about any other time than the present, you can clear your mind and start to clear way the cobwebs of thoughts that block clarity in your life. Mindfulness makes use of the senses. For example, the taste, the smell, the noises that exist in life, the sight are important. With so many distractions in the real world, in many cases we forgot to use these senses for more than just normal every day living demands, but when we use this senses during mindfulness , we become very much aware of our surrounding, the points of view of others, and as result we become more compassionate towards ourselves.
